My Story — Jackson Hadley Video

Hello! I’m Jackson Hadley

I grew up in a family of filmmakers. My dad directed commercials under his business: Third Eye Productions while my mom produced with him. Years later, my sisters started a wedding videography business together: Her Third Eye Productions. The collective success from their businesses has been a guiding element as i’ve grown up.

As I headed into the University of Kansas, I was able to work for Rock Chalk Video, the Kansas Athletic Department’s video team, where I began to hone in my skills as a creative videographer.

In May 2023, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media Studies and a Minor in Journalism.

I am a professional videographer sepcializing in highly energetic, creative video.

In December of 2023, I began my internship with the Kansas City Royals as their Video Content Trainee. Integral to my growth, this position offered development in a variety of areas, creatively and professionally.

I attribute this year to learning my style, discovering my pace and opening the door to a creative video world that I hadn’t yet tapped into.

Thanks to my wonderful group of mentors from the Royals, I was able to move on to my next position with confidence as a video content professional.

After leaving the Royals in January of 2025, I pursued freelance videography in Kansas City.

Taking time to learn how to communicate with clients effectively and working with them to create an outcome that is creatively inspiring and beneficial to their business was a key step in this process.

As of July, 2025 I now represent Rock Chalk Video and the University of Kansas Football team as a Creative Content Specialist.

Working effectively for my Alma Mater and helping drive social, gameday and internal content forward is my mission.

Being with a program on the rise has been nothing but a blessing and I look forward to future with the goal of elevating content and driving the next generation of content creators forward.

As I continue full-time with the University of Kansas and the football team, I am actively looking for freelance opportunities on the side.
